In this research, in addition to raising issues and problems in this area, we intend to express the proposed solutions

It is hoped that with the care of farmers and esteemed members of the company as mentioned, an important step can be taken to increase productivity and performance, reduce production costs and increase the quality of livestock products and products

Nutrition to the extent of ad-lib

Dairy cows need to be fed indefinitely and it is recommended to leave the manger empty for a maximum of 1 hour in 24 hours.

Accurate weighing of food

In many farms, it is observed that there is no exact weight of alfalfa, silage, straw and… consumption. To have a balanced diet, it is important to have the exact weight of the items.

(Diet on paper is not much different from what is in the manger)

Using a Total Mix Ration (TMR)

It is recommended that each bite that the cow removes from the manger contain all the nutrients, so it is necessary that the whole ration be given to the animal in a completely mixed form

This improves ruminal function and reduces the incidence of gastrointestinal diseases (such as acidosis). For farms that do not use feeders, a hay and straw crusher is recommended

Use of rations and concentrates suitable for breeding groups

Unfortunately, in many cases it is observed that the necessary importance is not given to breeding groups such as female calves, pregnant heifers and dry cows, and sometimes unbalanced concentrates or only a combination of bran and barley are used for these groups
Due to the great importance of these categories, the use of a suitable concentrate with the needs of each group is recommended

Storage of alfalfa fodder for at least 3 weeks after harvest

The quality of alfalfa, lack of weeds, lack of moisture, etc. are very important. But a key point about alfalfa is that freshly harvested alfalfa contains some anti-nutritional substances that can be inactivated or destroyed by just one period of storage

If freshly harvested alfalfa is used, stool scores usually decrease at the same time. Therefore, it is necessary to store alfalfa for at least three weeks after harvest and transfer to the farm and then use it
